A Swedish newspaper claims that Youngman will make a new offer for Saab next week. This time, the Chinese are determined to save Saab without GM technology.

When everything seemed to come to an end for one of the most beautiful auto brands, there is hope again!

Dagens Industri claims that Youngman doesn't let go of Saab and believes that the brand can be saved. Unofficial sources claim that Youngman will make a new 500 million euro offer for Saab next week.

The Youngman members of the board, including President Pang Qingnian, will travel to Sweden next week to start negotiating again. Besides the offer, the Chinese are willing to fund a investment program of more than 400 million euros, to develop new models on the Phoenix platform.

You are probably wondering what's going to happen with the opposition from General Motors, the former Saab owner. Well, they are still against it however this only affects the current range of Saab products and the Chinese are willing to make Saab a functional business again even without support from GM.

If the offer will be accepted, Youngman intends to start the 9-3 production in April or May of this year.
