The American auto manufacturer takes it's role on the premium market very seriously and, in the near future, they are planning to release a crossover capable of competing with the BMW X3 model.

Even if the BMW boss in United States says that Cadillac are the builders of couches on wheels, Cadillac is stubborn to believe that they will be able to compete with BMW. Powered by the good reviews of the new Cadillac ATS, the company is planning to extend the range of vehicles with models that will steal clients from European rivals.

Sources from inside the company say that Cadillac is working on a crossover, to rival with BMW X3. Asked about this, Kurt McNeil, the VP of the Cadillac Sales Department, said: " We are searching for many options on this segment. I think that we can find a solution so we can compete with the current BMW X3. The fact that right now Cadillac becomes a global player on the auto market will have a decisive role in approving this project. For this however we have to be just as good as BMW" McNeil concluded.

For the moment, Cadillac officials made no decision regarding the fate of a future crossover. Still, the balance might hang in favor of such a model for GM who asked Cadillac in the past to release small and average models just as good to compete with BMW.
