Ford EcoSport, The Concept That Announces A Crossover based On Fiesta

At the New Delhi Auto Show Ford presents the EcoSport concept, a crossover that anticipates a vehicle based on the Fiesta model which targets emerging markets.
Ford announced that they are going to present a new concept, EcoSport, during the New Delhi auto show at the beginning of 2012, who's teaser was already published by the American auto builder. The prototype is based on the current Fiesta model, and targets developing markets.
So, at the Ford stand, the audience will get the see a completely new concept, very close to the production version, which will actually be a crossover based on Fiesta. Under the hood we can find the same structure of the low class best seller, animated by a EcoBoost engine, with only three cylinders and 1 L capacity. The overcharged gas version will be used in a single power version.
Ford will look to sell the series version of the EcoSport model on the India, Asia and Eastern Europe markets. It will be proposed as a more accessible version and it will not be available on the United States market.
